Motorola Atrix HD Aims at Business Users

From DailyTech: Motorola has announced a new smartphone called the Atrix HD that is billed as "Business Ready." The smartphone will be offered in white or titanium colors and has a Kevlar fiber micro-weave pattern on the back. The smartphone has a big 4.5-inch HD ColorBoost display and is covered with scratch resistant Gorilla Glass.

The Atrix HD runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and the business focused nature of the phone means that it has government grade encryption protocols protect e-mail, contacts, and calendar and supports VPN technology to access corporate networks remotely.

Motorola has added features to help drivers be safer on the road including integrated Smartactions that are able to intelligently automate and suggest different ways to personalize the phone. One of these Smartactions is the ability to set the phone to auto reply to calls and texts and automatically enable hands-free conversations. If this mode is activated and you receive a text, the phone can auto reply letting the person know you're driving and can't text.

The phone can also suggest Smartactions that will automatically change phone settings depending on your location. For instance, you could set the phone to automatically go into silent mode when the GPS location resolves to your local movie theater.

The Atrix HD uses a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, supports 4G LTE technology, has integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G mobile hotspot technology, HDMI output, and a micro USB port. The phone also has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front camera for video conferencing. The phone weighs 140 g and the 4.5-inch screen has a resolution of 720 x 1280. The phone has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of ROM and internal storage can be upgraded via microSD cards up to 32 GB.
